LITTLE Danielle Tatton has been tucking into a bowl full of noodles as part of a special New Year party.
Danielle, aged four, attends St Peter's Nursery School, Chapel Street, Congleton, which celebrated Chinese New Year this week.
2001 is the year of the snake, and the children have been looking at Chinese customs, artefacts and food, including noodles, prawn crackers and fortune cookies.
"The children enjoyed a special stir fry lunch on Wednesday using chopsticks," said pre-school supervisor Krista Wright.
"They also made Chinese lanterns and a large dragon for a dragon dance."
The children also learned how to say Kung Hey Fat Choy, Happy New Year in Chinese, and compare Chinese writing with their own.
