BRAVE 10-year-old Kurt Emery is back on the pitch after beating cancer, but this time he isn't just playing ball.
The football mad youngster will make a special appearance on Sunday at Old Trafford for the Manchester United match against West Ham as the Reds' team mascot.
Kurt, of Norris Street, Orford, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma last July. It is a cancer which attacks the lymph glands.
But now, the avid Manchester United fan has been given the all clear, he's fighting fit and ready to get on with some serious football.
The talented striker has had trials with a number of major football clubs and plays for Warrington team Fife Rangers. But he can't wait to meet his heroes on Sunday.
Dad Kenny said: "He's really excited about Sunday but he's a bit nervous as well - it's a dream come true. We're very proud of Kurt, he's been so brave, even when he was really ill he never complained."
