DRIVERS in Lymm had better watch where they park in future as they could feel the wrath of police traffic wardens.
Officers have started making random trips to the village in a bid to catch out troublesome motorists who insist on parking on double yellow lines.
Tickets started to appear over Christmas following a lengthy campaign by the parish council to curb people dumping their cars all over the village.
Welcoming the news, Clr Sheila Woodyatt said: "Parking is one of the very difficult problems in the village and people have been complaining about illegal parking for a very long time.
"We've been trying to get the police and traffic wardens to do something about it for a long time and it is very cheering to see them finally doing something about it.
"Hopefully this will stop people parking dangerously in the village."
