ALMOST 200 petition forms requesting stadium and superstore development support have gone into circulation since the 'Save Our Club' campaign started.

Warrington Wolves fans, businesses, pubs and colleges have jumped on board to gather support for the £multi-million plans which will help to transform the northern end of Warrington's town centre.

Sports away from Rugby League are getting behind the Wolves. Warrington Town Football Club will be rallying up Wolves support at their home match at Cantilever Park on Saturday.

This week athletics' European sprint star Jason Gardener was in town working with his sponsors asics, who are associate sponsors to the Wolves. Jason looked in at Wilderspool to meet the players and learn more about the club. He lent his support to the campaign by putting his name to the petition.

Campaign organisers are urging every street in Warrington to become involved. One person can be nominated to collect signatures on the petition for each street.

Petition forms are available from the GUARDIAN's campaign centre. Call in at The Academy, Bridge Street, to collect one or request one by post, e-mail, fax or telephone.
