THE actual inquiry into the Wolves plans will not start until May at the earliest, according to the Government office.
Legislation states that no more than 22 weeks should elapse between the call-in and the public inquiry. The planning inspectorate has the file, an inspector will be chosen, then the inspector contacts the local authority dates and a possible venue. Every effort will be made to hold the inquiry in Warrington if a suitable venue is available.
When the actual inquiry starts, the inspector will go over the entire file, the applicants will state their case and representations will be made for and against the plans.
When this process is completed the inspector will make a recommendation to Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and he will make the final decision.
