GUARDIAN poll results have given a clear indication that Warrington people are fully behind the Wolves.
The Super League club revealed last week that they have an expected financial shortfall of £600,000 for the year ahead and that it was putting the Wolves' future in severe danger while a life-saving new stadium decision is awaited by public inquiry.
In the GUARDIAN phone poll, which started last Thursday and ended on Tuesday, a staggering 88 per cent of readers said they would like to see community funds used to save the club from going bust.
The same poll was run on the GUARDIAN'S thisiswarrington website and again 86 per cent of those who registered a vote were supportive of the move.
In a different poll on the website, 85 per cent were in favour of the club's mascot Wolfie becoming the town's new MP for Warrington North, indicating support for making the Government aware of the strength of feeling for a new stadium and superstore on the former site of the Tetley Walker brewery on Winwick Road.
