BEATING Chorley Lynx on Sunday could have a massive impact on Woolston Rovers.

Club chiefs want Rovers to be in the draw for the fourth round of the Silk Cut Chgallenge Cup for the first time and to gain a pairing with a top Super League club.

Coach John Fieldhouse said: "That could mean anything between £20,000 to £30,000 for this club and that is a lot of money for an amateur club.

"With the plans and ideas I have got for Woolston, that money would improve a lot of things."

There is talk of a new clubhouse at Benett's Rec and new drainage for the National Conference League pitch.

Fieldhouse said: "For Woolston, this is a massive game."
