A MAN was injured in an unprovoked attack outside a pub in Warrington over the weekend. The 34-year-old was waiting for a taxi outside the Adelphi Vaults pub in Mersey Street at 11.15 pm on Sunday, when he was assaulted, suffering an injury to his left eye and eyebrow. He received hospital treatment and released. His attacker is about 5ft 8ins tall, 30-35, slim, with cropped, fair, receding hair, a thin face and local accent. He was wearing a brown jacket, dark trousers and shoes. Police are asking anybody with information to call PC Edwards on 01244 612632 or confidentially on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
