GIANTKILLERS Liberal A again provided the upset in the quarter-finals of the Open League Winter Team KO, dumping out First Division high-flyers ASLEF Oddies.
It was an amazing comeback by the Second Division outfit who trailed 6-1 at one stage with the Oddies only needing 2 wins out of eight remaining to secure their passage.
Captain Ray Morris led the fight along with partner Simon Phillips in the arrows before the dominoes boys did the damage.
Final pair Simon and Bridget Murphy clinched a remarkable 8-7 result.
The all Premiership clash between Commercial and LMR Sports started out in see-saw fashion with top marksmen Tom Mercer, Barry Cooper and Mark Jodrill helping Commercial claw back a 2-0 deficit.
With a 4-2 spears advantage secured, Commercial scooped a 4-3 victory in the doms to net a 8-5 aggregate success.
The only other Premiership side, Vine A were forced to battle their way past First Division Oddfellows C despite racing into a 4-0 lead.
Howard Bateman wrapped up an 8-5 victory after success against Oddies doms skipper Steve Ives.
First Division Raven B took the last semi's spot with an 8-6 result at their Second Division opponents, Woodside.
Doms captain Mandy Smith settled a tense affair.
The draw for the semi's to be played on Monday, April 2 is as follows: Commercial v Vine A; Liberal A v Raven B.
