TALENTED Northwich boys James and Robert Clifford are making swift in-roads into a career on the silver screen - thanks to a part in movie blockbuster, Liam.
The film, at cinemas now, tells the story of seven-year-old Liam Borrow growing up in Liverpool in the 1930s.
The struggle between a sister working for a Jewish family and a redundant father with fascist sympathies is Liam's story.
And so impressed was writer/director Jimmy McGovern with 10-year-old James and six-year-old Robert Clifford, of St Catherine Drive, Hartford, that he gave them bigger parts as extras.
"James and Robert have always wanted to be actors in films," said proud mum Christina.
"They were chosen as extras and then given more work because Jimmy McGovern thought they were so good.
"They are both delighted. It's something that most people dream of doing but never get the chance."
James goes to Stagecoach school, in Rudheath, where Robert is hoping to join him when he is old enough and both boys are pupils at Hartford Primary School.
Unfortunately for the starstruck youngsters they cannot see the film - for it has a 15 certificate.
"We'll have to wait until it comes out on video!" added Mrs Clifford.
