SHE may be 57 years old - but Anita Wright is horse riding across Jordan to raise money for an animal charity.
Anita, of Senna Lane in Comberbach, will be sleeping in tents during her six-day adventure.
She will fly to Tel Aviv on Saturday, March 17 then on to Eilat before boarding a coach to Petra in Jordan.
There she will be provided with a horse and join a group of others trekking across spectacular scenery including mountains and the desert.
Anita, who is raising money for the International League for the Protection of Horses will be the only person from North West Britain.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge. It's going to be the experience of a lifetime," said Anita.
She has been riding for more than 50 years and has her own horse Rory who will have to be left behind.
Meanwhile she insists that she is not the oldest person going on the trip.
"I'm the second oldest, there's someone aged 70 going," she added.
If you would like to sponsor Anita you can ring her on 891633.
