YOUNG musicians from Malbank High School are tuning up their skills to compete in this Saturday's National Festival of Music for Youth.
Around sixty pupils of all abilities will represent the Nantwich school in the Manchester event.
If successful, the youngsters will go on to perform at the Schools' Prom at the Royal Albert Hall in November.
The touring choir, jazz band and senior ceilidh band are all vying to make that trip to London.
"Music is a key activity at Malbank," said music teacher Mr Julian Whittaker.
"In the summer, these pupils will be undertaking a concert tour to Bruges and representing Cheshire in the Antwerp Festival, prior to recording their second music CD."
