I awoke this morning to yet the sound of another plane dumping excess fuel over my house on its way to the second runway while opening a letter from Manchester City Council informing me that we are now sitting on raised levels of methane gas and carbon dioxide.
I am sick of Manchester City Council.
Even now when we are trying to rid the estates of them, they still insist on clinging on.
They have claimed that this is quite common on old landfill sites.
What worries me is that if the transfer wasn't going ahead when would Manchester City Council have found out about the raised levels?
After people became ill? After homes exploding without reasons? Or after flames rising from the roller blade area?
If memory serves me right there were incidents in the 1980s of houses exploding on or adjacent to landfill sites.
Among all this unsettling news, one thing is assured, rents will be increased in April.
This whole affair seems typical of Manchester City Council at its best and just another example to add to its catalogue of neglect and incompetence.
Once again Manchester City Council are most certainly 'the weakest link.
Goodbye.
Yours intoxicatedly
