A MIDDLEWICH man is concerned that a junction near his property could cause a serious accident.
Geoff Carden, of Bostock House, says the danger at the junction between the A54 Middlewich Road, and A533 Bostock Road, is the layout of the kerbing.
Motorists are forced to corner cut when turning right to avoid hitting the kerb, but Mr Carden fears this could result in a collision
He said: "There was an accident recently when a car hit my gate after clipping the kerb.
"There was also a really bad accident two years ago. Something really should be done about it, it is crazy."
Mr Carden feels the solution is either to change the road markings or alter the kerb.
A Cheshire County Council highways spokesman said the kerb in question was installed as a measure to improve safety for drivers joining the A54 from the A533 by improving visibility.
She added: "This was done with full consultation by our traffic engineers, but we will now talk to Mr Carden about his concerns."
