SIXTEEN Northwich club swimmers qualified to compete in this year's County Championships held at Stockport Grand Central Pool, last Saturday.
Although the going was tough the swimmers produced nine finalists, seven County Swim Cap winners and 20 personal bests.
Leading the way was 12-year-old Hannah who took the bronze in the 200m butterfly and fifth in the 50m breaststroke.
Nicola Booth, aged 15, came 4th in 50m breaststroke and 8th in 100m breaststroke; Emma Maxwell 6th in the 50m breaststroke and Katie Burrows came 4th in both the 50m and 200m backstroke.
In her first championship competition Chloe Sheward came 6th in the 50m backstroke and Julia Capper, aged 18, came 8th in 200m freestyle.
County Swim Cap winners were Hannah Penney, Hannah Evans, Emily McCausland, Katie Burrows, Nicola Booth, Chloe Sheward, Emma Maxwell and Julia Capper.
Personal best times were achieved in breaststroke by Hannah Penney 2, Emily McCausland 2, Sarah Law 2, Hannah Evans 2, Nicola Booth 1, Michael Penney 1; Emma Maxwell 1; Katie Burrows 1.
Backstroke: Hannah Evans Chloe Sheward and Louse Bird all one each.
Freestyle: Lisa Atkinson 2, Daniel Taylor 2, Rachel Law 1.
Butterfly: Hannah Evans 1.
