Rylands 2 Lostock 4
LOSTOCK gained three vital points in this away victory against opposition in third place.
Lostock went two-nil up with first half goals from Paul Henrietta and Paul Lightfoot.
Henrietta's goal carved out by Lightfoot running his marker and laying square for Henrietta to shoot left footed past Adair.
Ten minutes later, Lightfoot earned his goal by carrying the ball into the penalty area and drilling his shot high into the net.
Rylands are a good young side and pressured Lostock during a 15 minute spell but the defence held firm.
Rylands pulled one goal back with a left wing cross that was met by a (clearly offside) header by Hughes.
Rylands equalised midway though the second half. A deep free kick was parried by keeper Wyatt only for Asbury to tap in from two yards.
Lostock showed great spirit for the remainder of the game, taking control again and opening up the Rylands defence on many occasions.
A Mike Alcock corner was headed goalwards by Noden, only to be cleared off the line.
Lostock's third was started by a crunching Bellamy tackle on the half way line, the ball finding its way to Lightfoot, who collected his brace by round the keeper to slot home.
Victory was sealed when Lightfoot tackled defender Watson, the ball breaking free behind the defence, keeper Adair's attempted clearance was charge down by winger Paul Littler who then tapped into the empty net.
Team: Wyatt, Carter, Peers, Bellamy, Noden, Birtles, Littler, Lightfoot, Henrietta, Alcock, Izzard. Not used: Aleks, Kaye.
Lostock are away to Malpas on Saturday March 10.
