P TO 800 new jobs could be created over the next three and a half years following the re-development of Stanford House, Birchwood, Warrington.
Taylor Woodrow Property have won planning consent for a £20m office development on the site, currently occupied by ICL.
This summer, ICL moves to two offices developed for them in Daten Avenue, Birchwood by Taylor Woodrow.
Simon Clarke, development manager at Taylor Woodrow, explained that the new jobs will come on line in two phases.
The first phase of the development will start in the autumn and take 18 months.
This will provide in the region of 500 new jobs.
The second phase will be completed two years later, and is expected to provide 300 new jobs.
Simon said that his company was exploring two options for the development of Stanford House. One is knocking it down and rebuilding and the other is extensive refurbishment.
When complete, the development will provide 104,000 square feet of office space.
