WARRINGTON Hospital's critical care unit has received a welcome cash injection of £50,000 from big hearted volunteers at the Women's Royal Voluntary Service.
The donation will be used on equipment for a critical care bed in the intensive care, or high dependency unit.
Alice Cleveland, UK vice chair of the WRVS presented the cash to Dr Jennifer Tytler, a consultant in the critical care unit.
Gill Orme, project manager said: "All the volunteers give their time and work very hard to provide a service to patients, staff and visitors to the hospital."
