OFSTED inspectors have given the seal of approval to the work of a Warrington nursery.
Bloomings Pre-School Day Nursery, based at River Road, off Gainsborough Road, currently looks after up to 35 children aged between two and five.
In a report, the education watchdog inspectors said: "The setting is helping children to make good progress towards the early goals in all areas of learning.
"Good teaching provides a sound basis for future learning and children are well motivated. Good emphasis is given to communication, language and literacy, and mathematical development."
Specific areas were highlighted. Communication, language and literacy, mathematics, knowledge and understanding of the world, physical and creative development were all described as good.
And the inspectors praised the work of staff.
"They use questioning effectively to encourage children to think and they provide them with clear explanations," the report added.
"They are adept at developing children's skills in using language, have good relationships with the children, and staff and children have fun together."
The only areas the inspector earmarked for improvement were that assessment of the children could be better and that any information should be used to guide future teaching. The report also said that parents should be given more opportunities to share what they know about their child.
And though the nursery does not currently look after any children with special needs, procedures for identifying, supporting and monitoring such children need to be clarified, the inspectors said.
