POLICE are appealing to Lymm folk to contact them with information about a suspicious man who is allegedly following pensioners around parks in the village.
Several sightings of the man have been made by villagers, one of which has been reported to police, and while officers have stepped up their presence in the parks, so far no offences have taken place.
But several pensioners have been startled by the man who has a woollen hat pulled over his eyes and a scarf covering the rest of his face after they have been followed.
He has been seen in Grundy Park, on the Trans-Pennine Trial, along the Bridgewater Canal and in the library car park.
Officers are urging residents to take sensible precautions when walking alone, and since the man was reported to PC Max Madden, all officers who patrol the area in marked and unmarked cars have been made aware of the situation.
In the meantime, police are asking for any sightings of the suspicious man to be reported to them on 652222.
