A 23-YEAR-old man was bundled into a telephone box, threatened with a knife and ordered to hand over cash in an attack on Orford Lane last Thursday night.
He was walking towards Pinners Brow at 10.30pm and as he passed the telephone kiosk outside the Irish Club he was pushed from behind and fell into the kiosk.
The attacker grabbed him and spun the man round to face him then pulled out a knife, held it to his neck and told him to hand over his money.
When he refused, the man reached into his pocket and took his wallet which contained cash, then he dumped the wallet and ran off towards the Private Lines shop.
Police want to speak to any witnesses or anyone who can identify the attacker.
He is white, 6ft tall, aged around 25, with a local accent. He was wearing a cream jacket with the hood pulled up. To contact police with information, call Det Con Lesley Mills on 01244 613833 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
