Northwich U11...1
EGERTON'S promotion hopes took a knock at home on Saturday.
Northwich carried out a smash and grab raid to claim all three points.
From the start Egerton dominated but Roberts, Simcock and Raffo didn't have their shooting boots on.
The ball was rarely out of the Northwich half but chances weren't taken.
Northwich did break away twice but were denied by good saves from Hassal in the Egerton goal.
Just before half-time Northwich broke away again.
The Egerton defence didn't clear the ball out and Northwich went in at half-time 1-0 in front.
The second-half was slightly more evenly matched but the home crowd seemed to know that it wasn't going to be Egerton's day.
The only bright spots for Egerton were the passing from Edwards and France, the tackling from Stimpson and Bowcock and the running from Fisher on the wing.
Man of the match John Stimpson.
