THE SALT Barge, in Marston, has started its Comic Relief fund-raising early.
Last Friday, March 9, barperson Christian Cartman turned up for his usual shift - but was transformed into Sue Lynne and sponsored by regular drinkers and staff.
Not content with this Christian was also gagged for the evening earning extra money with his silence.
Assistant Manager Spencer Jewitt also entered into the spirit of the day by being clamped in the stocks and subjected to having eggs, ice cold water, rotten vegetables and custard poured over him.
A car wash was organised by children Laura and Adam Reissing who were assisted by Kara and Tim Price.
So far almost £300 has been raised, but with Karaoke tonight, March 14, a raffle, and Y Fronts Night, it is hoped that a total of over £500 will be raised.
