NORTHWICH Indie band Boca Juniors may have only been together for around two months, but the lads have already recorded a demo of their own material.
Plus the band are lining up a treat for all fans of alternative music with a double header gig at the Farmers Arms later this month.
The Boca boys formed when Rudheath band Stroller split up and bassist Mark Robinson, 20, and drummer Dave Pickering, 20, decided to start afresh.
They recruited the talents of singer Dave Caldwell, 25, who they spotted singing karaoke in the pub and guitarist Phil O'Driscoll, 20, the band's songwriter.
Mark said: "The basic idea about having two bands is that both will be doing their own songs, but it is a bit too much for one band to do a set of one and a half hours.
"So we thought we would break it up with two different sounds so people aren't going to get bored.
"DJs will also be breaking it up by playing all the indie classics between bands."
The band are hoping their six track demo will be ready in time to sell on the night.
But for the time being, music lovers can sample the Boca Juniors by listening to two tracks at our website - www.thisisnorthwich.co.uk
The lads will be joined by Race Diamond, another local indie band, who have been together for three years, but have recently been taking their music very seriously, practising six nights a week.
The indie night will be held at the Farmers Arms on Friday, March 30, starting at 7.45pm, admission is free.
