YOUNG striker Leon Morris scored the winner for Alsager on Saturday to extend his side's winning run to six games.
Morris struck with 20 minutes left of Alsager's home clash against Holker Old Boys.
The victory lifted Alsager to ninth place in the table, although it featured a below par performance from the home side.
Alsager created two excellent openings in the first 15 minutes, Wayne Brotherton going close with a shot from 15 yards which hit the keeper's legs.
Chris Dick also went close, but his effort was brilliantly saved by Holker keeper Hoyland.
The away side's only first half effort was a cross cum shot from Foster on the half hour, which Alsager keeper Rob Powner tipped over the bar.
Alsager took the lead a minute before the half-time break, when Brotherton flicked on a Steve Grocott corner for Gareth Rowe to score at the far post.
Alsager took their foot off the pedal in the second half, and allowed Holker back into the match.
The visitors drew level on 62 minutes, when the Alsager defence let in Holker top scorer Waters, who toe poked the ball under Powner.
Alsager brought on Morris, who hit the winner on 70 minutes.
A long throw in from Rowe was flicked on by Brotherton at the near post, and Morris scored his second goal in three games with a looping header which deceived the keeper.
* Alsager are at home to Castleton Gabriels tomorrow.
