SUMMER is nearly here, balmy days in the garden, cold drinks on the lawn, doors and windows open, gentle breeze blowing.

Not if you live in Great Sneaky, flies and smells from the tip, the smell of effluence, get a glass of water, tastes of chlorine or pond water, OK, go out in the car, only to get stuck behind a waste clearance lorry, not Warrington's rubbish, anywhere but. We are the mecca of the North for dumping.

You could go for a walk if you had a gas mask left over from the war, joking apart the only solution is to stay indoors windows and door closed.

I agree with lifelong resident Penketh 1/3/01, we must wake up to what big business is doing to our area, if you let them they will destroy your environment, they will not consider the residents, they will go on tipping as long as you let them.

The only answer is, for the people of Warrington to pull together, that is to write to the council and let them know your feelings. This way we may get something done TO STOP IT.
