A CHARITY football match hit the target yesterday, Wednesday, when it came to raising awareness of testicular cancer.
Three teenagers organised the five-a-side footy fest to raise money for the Imperial Cancer Research Society, which officially endorsed the event.
Dave Butler, William Trimble and Andy Hill, all 18, are members of Warrington Youth Action group and organised the event as part of their enrichment programme.
Held at Warrington Collegiate's Winwick Campus gym, each player taking part received a leaflet on the condition and the self-checks which can be done to spot its tell-tale signs.
The fundraiser was also supported by a host of north west football clubs who donated quality prizes which were raffled off on the day.
