PUPILS at Culcheth High School puckered up for National No Smoking Day yesterday, Wednesday.
The youngsters volunteered to try their lips on the kissometer, a special machine which measures nicotine levels.
The day-long 'Kiss it Goodbye' event was organised by the year 11 Youth Action group, Youth Action co-ordinator Julie Dunning and health visitor Lisa Williams.
Aimed at giving them a serious message in an entertaining way, the whole school got involved, with the kissometer proving most popular!
Julie said: "They have to blow into it and from the reading we tell them whether they are kissable or whether it's like kissing an ashtray!"
