PUPILS and staff from a Woolston school stepped back in time to the days of the vikings for a history project with a difference.
The youngsters from years three and four at St Peter's RC Primary School, Hillock Lane, are studying invaders and settlers and Tuesday's lessons were designed to bring history to life.
The Longship Trading Company came into school and organised a host of workshops. The pupils were acting out scenes from the time, making coins, looking at weapons and tools and hearing about battles, gods and godesses, trading and crime and trials.
Teacher Helen Lea said: "The children learnt loads from the workshops and they absolutely loved it."
