IT'S dab, dab, dab at Crewe's scouts and guides HQ which has just re-opened following an extensive redecoration and renovation programme.
And it's all thanks to Cheshire Fire Brigade's Prince's Trust volunteers who carried out the work as part of a personal development course.
The volunteers were supported by various local businesses to complete renovations at the Guides headquarters in Pyms Lane, over a three week period.
Painting, tiling and fitting carpets were among the tasks undertaken by the group which has also organised a sponsored athletics morning during which members cycled, ran and rowed 60 miles between them.
More challenges await the volunteers who now face placements with various organisations, a jobsearch week and more fund-raising for a final challenge which involves taking a local group on a three-day break.
Above - Borough mayor, Cllr Barbara Bickerton gave the HQ an official opening along with her consort, Colin Bickerton, Brownies Rachel Lever and Emma Stafford, cub scouts Ian Merrill and Philip Prince, volunteers Elliot Griffiths and Asia Speed and teamleader Isobel Sykes.
