Warrington 2nd...1
Congleton 2nd...0
CONGLETON had more possession and initiative in attack than Warrington women's hockey seconds during the first 20 minutes.
However, with their good defensive record, Warrington proved difficult to score against and goalkeeper Kate McWalter denied Congleton.
Despite wasting some good moves Congleton were troubled by good breaks led by Kelly Duane and Charlotte Inman.
Hollie Acklam passed several defenders, took the ball to the wide right goal line and screwed it back to Inman, who smacked it into the goal for a 1-0 win.
Best player was central defender Joanne Hartley.
