GARRY Lythgoe and Sean Kerwick of Bank Quay won the Carlsberg Dominoes Pairs and £150 cash on Sunday when they beat the Orford duo Paul Hannon and Bill Picken by taking the last-leg count up to triumph 3-2.

Losing semi-finalists were N. Horan and T. Cullen from Bank Quay and Gill Hickey and Lilian Fance from London Bridge, the latter pair being specially unlucky when a domino mis-placement led to an exposed domino.

In the league Butchers Arms lost at home for the first time this season while B. Thompson and J. Shaw led the Alford onslaught against Conkeys. Touchers, top of Division One, beat Albion thanks to a second half revival.

Sloop earned a draw at home to Warrington Transport after being down at the interval but Warrington Cons A lost both their drop advantage pairings and were beaten by Deaf Social.

In Division Three 13 out of a possible 16 points from Saracens B has seen them join Imperial in second place and Saracens were far too good for Padgate St Oswalds B.

Bulls Head A beat Blackburne Arms for their second win in seven matches.

Kings Head, with five wins in the last six matches, must be thankful that D. F. Power and Barry Jones are playing well.

British Rail B are one point ahead of Porters at the top of Division Four after beating Prince of Wales.
