KARATE showed that it is a sport for all ages on Sunday when a 37-year age gap separated two Grappenhall Karate Club members gained dans on their black belts.
Mark Vauxhall flew the flag for the youngsters at 12-years-old and he achieved his first dan after four years in the sport.
Fire officer Nigel Taylor, aged 49, gained his second dan after returning to the sport he took up in the 1970s.
