RODE Heath features in a new book chronicling a trip along the inland waterway system.
Walking on Water was written by Nick Corble, and also includes sections on Runcorn, Lymm and Middlewich.
"Rode Heath was a pausing point for us, as we approached the end of the series of locks known by old canal hands as Heartbreak Hill," said Nick.
"It was refreshing to have the wildflower meadow on Rode Heath Rise to look out onto when we moored up, and to know something positive had been made of our industrial heritage."
Walking on Water is published by Minerva Press.
