THE NSPCC is in need of volunteers to spare a few hours a month for the young witness service, which is based on Henry Street in the town centre.
Responsibilities include a home visit to children involved in court cases to explain proceedings, a visit to the court to see what they will be facing, support during the trial and a follow-up visit when proceedings are over.
Training will be provided and expenses will be covered. Volunteers should have transport. Call Sue Strettle on 418430.
