RAY Wallace was due to make his first appearance for Witton Albion on Saturday - but couldn't find the ground.

The former Southampton and Leeds United midfielder did sign forms for the club after Saturday's game, but didn't get to Wincham Park in time to be named in the squad.

Wallace, 31, had a brief spell at Winsford United last season.

Also going away from Witton, but this time intentionally, is Fran Tierney, who has finally signed a full-time contract after months of playing the waiting game in Albion colours.

The former Crewe winger has joined Nationwide Conference side Doncaster Rovers.
