TWO William Beamont pupils have been selected to take part in brand new TV game show Twister, screened on Children's ITV.
Amy Lawton, aged 13, of Poole Avenue, Longford and 13-year-old Joe Holt, of Orford, were selected during trials for the north-west region.
They had to go through various activities including physical games such as an obstacle course, dancing and charades and tests to see how the youngsters worked as teams.
Amy said: "We had to fill in this form and then they wrote us a letter.
"When I found out I had got on to the show I was dead excited and started to cry."
Amy and Joe went with their mums to Glasgow and were put up in a hotel while they filmed the games.
Amy said: "I was nervous but excited as well. We spent two days there and the first day we just saw what the games were like.
"The next day we got up early and took part in one game and then came back the week after to do the final game. It was really tiring."
At the end of the show, Amy and Joe received scooters, a Twister top and a selection of games.
The game show, which is hosted by Nickelodeon presenter Nigel Mitchell, will be screened at 4.10pm on Friday March 30.
Amy said: "I'm going to get all my friends round to watch it!"
