Tetley Walker...4

A four-goal blast from scoring sensation Neal Smith extended Tetley Walker's unbeaten run to 11 games as they leap-frogged neighbours Warrington Town into second place in North West Counties League Division Two on Saturday.

Smith, February's Division Two player of the month, should have opened the scoring in the second minute but after rounding the Chadderton goalkeeper saw his shot blocked.

Smith broke the deadlock in the 11th minute after racing on to a through ball.

Tetley's second goal came in the 29th minute via the penalty spot after Karl Jones had been fouled in the area. Smith sent the 'keeper the wrong way with his spot kick.

The best goal was scored in the 36th minute, when Jones ended a tricky run down the left wing with a cross to the far post where Smith leapt highest to complete his third hat-trick for Tetley since making his debut on February 1.

Smith took his tally to 12 goals from eight starts in the 59th minute when he followed up to head Flood's cross into an empty net from a couple of yards out.

Tetley's defence held firm with new goalkeeper Paul Williams impressing with several fine saves and confident handling.
