SCHOOL heads are to be asked for their views on the potential use of Congleton Park as a route to school.
The schools whose opinions are to be sought are Eaton Bank and Mossley, Daven, Marlfields and St Mary's primary schools.
"Such information should be obtained to put together a case for additional funding through the Safer Routes to Schools initiative," said park management committee chairman Margaret Williamson.
Planning permission is due to be sought for the restoration of the park bandstand, extensions to the Jubilee Pavilion and a proposed car park.
The initiatives form part of plans for the redevelopment of the park.
In addition sponsorship schemes are to be considered as a way of providing funding for the inclusion of lighting in the car park.
