POPULAR school receptionist Sheila Walker received numerous cards and gifts to mark her retirement.
Mrs Walker retired after 25 years at Eaton Bank School in Congleton.
She was appointed to the then Congleton Girls' County Secondary School in 1975, which became Dane Valley High in 1979 following comprehensive reorganisation.
Both her children, Karen and Peter, were pupils at the school during her time as receptionist.
She described her fondest memories as the people she met and worked with, including the friendship of colleagues, Christmas celebrations and children's hymn singing.
"Sheila will be greatly missed, and we wish her all the very best for a long and happy retirement," said a member of staff.
