VOLUNTEERS from Crewe are being recognised through a series of awards.
Louise Gallagher, Tracy Dunn, Collette McGlinchey, Danny McDermott and Samantha Brennand will join volunteers from around the region when they receive their Millennium Volunteers Certificate of Excellence.
The scheme has been organised by Sports Network North West as part of the nationwide Millennium Volunteers Scheme.
The idea is that 1,500 young people in the region aged between 16 and 24 take part for a minimum of one year and receive training.
Successful candidates go on to help at events, train to be a coach, umpire or referee and develop other skills.
