TWO more victories should guarantee Crewe a fifth consecutive season of First Division Football.

And with their target set, the Alex will look to wrap the job up as soon as possible, starting with Saturday's trip to struggling Crystal Palace.

"I think two more wins will do it," said boss Dario Gradi. "And if we can get past 50 points with some games to go, we won't need to worry."

It should prove to be a cracker at Selhurst Park as the Eagles will be desperate to end a dismal run of six straight defeats and stop a drop into the relegation zone.

But confidence is soaring in the Alex camp after their recent heroics and supporters will be hoping to see Finnish International Aki Rihilahti's debut well and truly wrecked.

"The players have had a good break but we've picked up our work, this week, and we've got no injury worries," revealed Gradi.

"Everyone's fit and Jason (Kearton) could be in the squad. Clayton has got to be back by Friday or he won't make it."

Loan signing from Liverpool, Alan Navarro, should also make the trip to Selhurst after Gradi just beat last Thursday's transfer deadline to acquire his services.

"He's done alright and is actually bigger and stronger than we thought.

"It was essential that we had cover for Lunt and Sorvel and if we get to 50 points, I will play him anyway to make the move for his benefit also."

The 19-year-old's arrival proves Crewe's link with the Premiership giants is still in operation.

"We're trying to arrange a meeting with them to discuss the future," revealed Gradi.

"But we've still got a good relationship with Liverpool and whenever we have a need, we would look to them first, though we didn't in this instance as there was no Danny Murphy waiting in the sidelines and that was the snag with Navarro and why it was a bit tight.

"I couldn't guarantee him a first team place which I could have done to Wayne Collins or Gareth Whalley."

*Crewe supporters are campaigning to make this season's final match at the Alexandra Stadium a sell-out.

Fingers crossed, safety will already be assured and hopes are high the fixture against Preston on Saturday, April 28, can become a mass celebration of a quality season.
