I AM writing to you after the most disgraceful display of rugby league by the Warrington RLFC team, against Salford, yes even worst than Wakefield and Huddersfield last season.

The words pride, passion and commitment seem to be lacking in the vocabulary of these players. Fitness, tactics and organisation are others that need looking at, especially by the coach, as everybody on the terraces has run out of patience with him and his empty promises. He turns the team out every week doing the same moves we did three years ago, and he is constantly backing his players, saying that they are not clubbing it.

Yet on the Tuesday night before this disgrace, a number of the players are seen guzzling champagne in Mr Smith's nightclub.

Champagne of all things, when all they produce on the pitch is brown ale performances. Coach, do the honourable thing, take a leaf out of John Aldridge's book at Tranmere, if you can't raise the team performances, or install discipline and new coaching methods, GO!

As Anne Robinson would say: "You are the weakest link."
