WHAT do you do if you have a collicky baby or a child struggling with teething problems and sleep difficulties?

One answer lies in giving your baby a healing, relaxing massage.

Today we have two free places to give away to readers on a course for mothers to learn how to calm their babies through massage.

Carol Rooney and Tracy Farrell who run the Maple Leaf Clinic in Green Lane, Padgate, Warrington, will show mothers how to use gentle, diluted aromatherapy oils to help their babies.

Said Tracy, who is a holistic therapist : "Massage helps both the mother and the baby. The mother benefits from inhaling the oils."

People on the course will learn two types of baby massage, one soothing and the other stimulating which helps with alertness. "As children get older things like sore throats and every day ailments can be helped by holistic therapies. Children with asthma can benefit from reflexology," said Tracy.

She has four children who have all benefited from aromatherapy, and one of them, Sarah, aged 10, suffered from rheumatoid arthritis but it is now in remission. Tracy thinks this is due to treatment with aromatherapy oils.

Tracy and Carol provide a range of treatments at their clinic. These include Indian head massage, remedial and Swedish massage, and sports therapy, which is Carol's specialist area.

Both women have a variety of qualifications in their subjects.

The baby massage course is on June 12 at the clinic and includes refreshments. Our two free places, each worth £30 and will go to the first two people to ring the clinic tomorrow, March 30th. Ring Tracy or Carol on 01925 831199.
