OUT this week on the rental shelves is the unexpected favourite, Nurse Betty and Edward Norton's Keeping the Faith.
These two comedies both proved good films but without getting the box office busy at all.
Nurse Betty stars Jim Carey's other half, Renee Zellweger as well as Morgan Freeman and Chris Rock.
The story follows Zellweger, who sees her husband murdered by Morgan and Rock, an incident which triggers a delusion that her favourite soap has come to life.
Zellweger sets out to find the star of the soap oblivious to the fact that she is being chased by the murderers themselves.
It's quietly funny with compelling performances.
Keeping the Faith is directed by world-class actor Edward Norton, who also takes a starring role.
Norton and funny man Ben Stiller play a priest and a rabbi respectively who run into their childhood friend, Jenny Elfman.
This run in has both the religious men falling head over heels for the girl which in turn threatens their friendship.
Set in New York the film is once again quietly funny with a clever touch to it and many have said it is one of the best romantic comedies of 2000.
