Crosfields ARLFC...46
Milford Marlins...16
SOAP boosted their National Conference League promotion hopes thanks to a first half demolition of Milford Marlins at Hood Lane on Saturday.
It was Crosfields who dominated the first half possession and opened the scoring on 10 minutes when a wide ball from Dave Lucas to fellow prop-forward Andy Pucill, allowed Pucill to feed Matt Mahoney, who stepped the full back to score.
Within minutes Crosfields were back on the attack. Mahoney was the provider as his long ball split the defence and Ian Hannon raced over.
Ten minutes later Crosfields won a scrum on half way and Dave Gibbons, man of the match Pete Cannon and Hannon combined for Gibbons to be rewarded with a try between the posts.
In the final minutes Crosfields scored three tries through Lee Smith, Russ Parkman and Pucill. With Holroyd's conversions the half-time score was 32-0.
Milford played with venom in the second half and scored three tries.
Soap also crossed for three more courtesy of Holroyd, Carl Porter and Fraser Linaker.
