A SECOND group of travellers descended on vacant land at Europa Boulevard, near Gemini retail park yesterday.
Around 10 vehicles, six of which were caravans, moved on to the site and the group assured police they will move on by today, Tuesday and will clean up after themselves.
They are not connected to gipsies who camped out at Walton Gardens, Appleton, and Cockhedge Shopping Park who were directed to leave by Warrington police on Friday. Two of the vehicles left the convoy and parked outside the Marks and Spencer's store at Gemini retail park on Friday morning, but left when directed by officers on Friday afternoon. Inspector Peter Turton said: "I have met with them and they are most amenable. They assure me that they will have left within 24 hours."
