THIRD-placed Tetley Walker closed the gap on North West Counties League Division Two leaders Nelson with a deserved victory on Saturday.
Tetley 'keeper Lee Medland leapt acrobatically to tip a long range shot over the bar in the 21st minute.
On the stroke of half-time Nelson's Mark Canning bravely saved at the feet of Lee Webster after a free kick had caused chaos in the Nelson area.
Tetley broke the deadlock in the 51st minute of a highly entertaining game when Steve Ellaby was first to react to force the ball over the line after a Neal Smith header rebounded off the post.
Tetley Walker are at home to Daisy Hill on Saturday. Kick-off at Long Lane is 3pm.
