ALLAN Langer's last chance of winning a coveted Challenge Cup medal has passed by him and he was understandably gutted after Sunday's semi-final.
The Wolves' skipper, who will retire at the end of the season, said: "I am disappointed. It is pretty hard to take but that's football isn't it?
"The dressing room was low at the end. A lot of players put a lot of effort in but we came away with nothing. It's always disappointing to lose.
"We've got to put this form into Super League now and it all starts this week."
There were turning points in the game but Langer pointed to the fact that the Wolves did not perform for the full 80 minutes.
He said: "As we all know it's an 80-minute game and if you don't play for 80 minutes you're going to be beaten.
"It was a great effort but it would have been good if we had kept going for another 20 minutes. Bradford's big men came to the fore in the final 20 minutes."
The performance restored some of the faith of the supporters but Langer knows there is more to do to win them over fully.
He said: "We've really got to put a couple of wins together now to get them back on side."
