WARRINGTON Wolves have revealed the club has been hit by a double devastating blow this week.
Thisiswarringtonwolves broke the news yesterday, Friday, of the Thursday night death of Tawera Nikau's wife Letitia.
But it has come to light today, Saturday, that stand off Lee Briers' brother died on Wednesday.
Lee did train on Wednesday and is determined to play tonight, Saturday, at Castleford Tigers in round four of Super League VI.
However, coach Darryl Van de Velde is yet to confirm whether or not he will select Lee because of the circumstances.
Tawera will definitely not play. His place in the squad for the game has been taken by Gary Mercer, who was signed from Halifax Blue Sox on Friday morning.
A minute's silence in respect of Letitia Nikau and Lee's brother is expected to take place before Warrington's home game against Leeds on Thursday.
